My internship at Kotak Securities was an incredibly enriching experience
that provided me with a deep understanding of risk management
and internal controls within the stock market. Over the course of the
internship, I worked on seven distinct projects, each offering its own set
of challenges and opportunities for growth. From conducting in-depth
analyses of stock-specific fundamentals to assessing their eligibility
for removal from surveillance measures to gaining comprehensive
knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations and compliance
frameworks, every assignment contributed significantly to my learning
curve.
In addition to honing my technical skills, I collaborated closely with
cross-functional teams, which taught me the importance of clear
communication and effective teamwork. The fast-paced environment,

coupled with strict deadlines, pushed me to effectively manage multiple
projects while maintaining precision and efficiency.
This internship strengthened my financial risk and regulatory
compliance foundation and developed the soft skills essential for
thriving in a dynamic, collaborative workplace. I am deeply grateful
to my mentors at Kotak Securities for their guidance and support
throughout this journey and look forward to applying these insights in
my future career.

My summer internship at Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited, Mumbai,

was an enriching blend of professional growth and weekend
fun. I contributed to two major projects and gained insights from
seasoned professionals, particularly my business head, whose
sharp guesstimates never failed to amaze me. The experience was
enhanced by working alongside interns from various IIMs, and I
proudly represented IIM Vishakhapatnam. While capturing moments
wasn’t allowed, the real takeaway was immersing in the experience,
learning from the best, and building connections. Balancing serious
work with lively weekend adventures, this internship was a perfect
mix of learning, collaboration, and fun-filled experiences.
