Dear Reader,

We are pleased to share with you the fifteenth issue of IIM (V)ibes, a quarterly newsletter that covers
news and events from our Institute in Visakhapatnam. Compiled for all its numerous stakeholders, this
newsletter chronicles and showcases the ongoing life and activities at Sunrise IIM. The current issue of the
newsletter covers news and events between May and August 2024. It brings to you news about various
matters, including program inaugurations, research, student achievements, and other important events.

At the outset, we are thrilled to share that the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam has climbed
to the 26th position in the prestigious NIRF Rankings 2024 (Management Category), an impressive rise
from 29th position in 2023. This accomplishment underscores our relentless commitment to excellence
and innovation in management education. As a leading institution among the new generation IIMs,
we extend our sincere thanks to our exceptional faculty, hardworking students, and dedicated staff for
their pivotal role in this achievement. Together, we continue to push boundaries and shape the future of

management education.
We are excited to bring you updates on recent program inaugurations including the EMBA 2024-26
batch commenced with 180 professionals from diverse industries, marking the second cohort of this fast-
growing program. In June, we proudly launched the 10th batch of our flagship PGP program, welcoming
338 students from across the country. The 6th batch of our PhD program, a rigorous research-driven
initiative, also welcomed 12 new scholars. Launching its inaugural cohort, the Executive PhD program

commenced with 16 professionals from diverse industries.
In addition to these academic milestones, the Executive Education Programs successfully hosted 15
Management Development Programs (MDPs) and Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), offering
customized training to industry professionals, faculty members, and research scholars across various

organizations.
We are also glad to share some exciting developments from IIMV Foundation for Incubation Entrepreneurial
Learning and Development (IIMV FIELD), the incubation and startup hub of IIMV, which continues to
support and foster innovation and entrepreneurship within our ecosystem.
