            9  FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS

                  17 January:


            Shri Anindya Dasgupta, IA&AS [2002], Principal Director
            of Audit (Central), Hyderabad, was the Chief Guest at
            the Institute’s ninth Foundation Day celebrations. In his
            speech, Shri Dasgupta discussed a number of important
            topics, including Visakhapatnam - “the City of Destiny”
            - its rich culture, traditions, and heritage, IIM
            Visakhapatnam as an important learning centre, the
            promise the permanent campus of the Institute holds,
            the impactful learning environment it provides, and the
            many firsts of the Institute that are a source of pride for
            all stakeholders.
            Shri Dasgupta expanded the scope of his speech to
            include the strengths of India in the world and its
            rightful place, the power of a digitalized India, the
            challenges facing the younger generation, the
            numerous opportunities that the New India provides,
            etc. In his concluding remarks, he stated, “Let me not
            miss this opportunity to congratulate each and every
            one of you today, on the 9th Foundation Day of IIM
            Visakhapatnam, for adding your love, hard work, and
            culture of learning, and for joining hands with this
            Institute as it takes its first steps towards a glorious
            future.” The speech of Shri Dasgupta was engaging,
            educative, enriching, enlightening and enjoyable. It was
            contemporary, customized, clear and cogent. There
            were many useful takeaways from his talk, for every
            member of the IIMV family.
