IIM Visakhapatnam Hosts Alumni Meet: V-Unite 2026 in Bengaluru Chapter
Bengaluru, 20 June 2026: The Alumni Committee of the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam successfully hosted Alumni Meet: V-Unite 2026 in Bengaluru Chapter at Gold Finch Hotel, Bengaluru, bringing together over 130 Alumni from across the Institute’s diverse programs, including PGP, EMBA, PhD, Executive Certification Programs, and other programs.
The meet was part of IIM Visakhapatnam’s ongoing V-Unite 2026 chapter meet series, organized to celebrate the Institute’s 10-year journey and strengthen alumni engagement across cities. The event served as a vibrant platform for alumni to reconnect with the Institute, interact with fellow graduates, and engage with the evolving growth story of IIM Visakhapatnam.
The evening began with alumni registration, followed by a warm welcome address by Prof. Happy Paul, Chairperson - CDS and Alumni Relations, IIM Visakhapatnam. He welcomed the alumni community and highlighted the importance of continued engagement between alumni and the Institute in shaping the future of IIM Visakhapatnam.
A key highlight of the evening was an insightful fireside chat on “Building AI-Ready Organizations” by Dr. Rajesh Kumar, AI and Data Science CoE India Leader at Cardinal Health. The session was moderated by Prof. Gaurav Dilip Tikas and offered valuable perspectives on how organizations can prepare for an AI-driven future, build relevant capabilities, and adapt to emerging technological shifts. Students of EMBA, EPGPDPM and PGPMCI also attended, along with Alumni.
Following the fireside chat, the Alumni Committee presented updates on recent alumni activities, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming plans aimed at strengthening the alumni network and creating more meaningful engagement opportunities across chapters. The session reflected the committee’s continued efforts to build a strong, active, and connected alumni community.
The event also featured an address by Prof. Shivshanker Singh Patel, Chairperson - PGP Program, who shared key updates from the Institute and spoke about IIM Visakhapatnam’s academic progress, Institutional developments, and the significance and evolution of teacher-learner space.
As part of the Institute’s decade celebration, the Alumni Committee also felicitated Mr. Srinidhi S, an alumnus from the Class of PGP 2015-17, the first batch of IIM Visakhapatnam. His presence added special significance to the evening, symbolizing the Institute’s journey from its founding batch to its growing alumni community across programmes and geographies.
To encourage interaction and networking among alumni from different batches and programmes, the Alumni Committee conducted an engaging Alumni Bingo activity. The activity added a lively and interactive element to the evening, helping alumni connect, exchange experiences, and build conversations in an informal setting.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Somashekara MN, Officer -CDS & Alumni Office, followed by a group photograph. The evening ended with a networking dinner, where alumni continued their conversations, shared memories, and strengthened their bond with the Institute and each other.
With enthusiastic participation, V-Unite 2026 Bengaluru Chapter Meet marked another successful step in IIM Visakhapatnam’s efforts to nurture lifelong alumni relationships and celebrate its growing community as the Institute completes a decade of excellence.
