organizations for remaining connected with their stakeholders.
She spoke of the need for organizations to leapfrog from incre-
mental, silo-based inventions to radical, organization-wide inno-
vations, to be impactful. She drew upon the ASSURED innova-
tion concept of affordability, scalability, sustainability, universal-
ity, rapid implementability, excellence and distinctiveness in
character as vital for survival and success of organizations. She
also referred to the “In nite Change” concepts of Arvind Eye-
care, that have several management lessons built-in. She urged
the students to develop, apart from Intelligence Quotient and
Managerial Quotient, Emotional Quotient too, for dealing effec-
tively with colleagues at their workplace.
Professor Chandrasekhar, Director, spoke about the rapid
strides the Institute made in a short span of ve years and the
importance of learning and leadership being indispensable to
each other, as is widely acknowledged. He urged the students to
make best use of the world-class facilities and resources avail-
able at the Institute. Professor Sriranga, the Program Chair
highlighted the salient features of the Program. Professor Kaveri
Krishnan introduced the batch. Prof Vinay Ramani proposed a
vote of thanks. Ms. K Shilpa Raju, Mr. J Murali Krishna and Mr.
Abhishek Maiti of the 1st Batch stood rst, second and third
respectively in the Director’s Merit List and were presented with
awards.

Programme III
IIMV conducted the online TEQIP III Professional Development Training Programme (26 – 28 November 2020) under the aegis of the National
Project Implementation Unit, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. Dr. D. Somayajulu, Director, IIITDM Kurnool,
Chief Guest for the Inaugural Session, addressed the audience on the importance of adjusting to the New Normal of online teaching and evalua-
tion and the challenges faced by faculty members and students in the process. The Valedictory address, focusing on research in academia and
grant opportunities, was delivered by Dr. DR Prasada Raju, former Advisor, Dept of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The 3-day online training programme was attended by 33 academicians from technological institutions of eminence across India. It focused on
building various academic and administrative skills, such as ICT-enabled Teaching, Publishing in World-Class Journals, Curriculum Designing,
Financial Management, Project Management, Managing Stress and Time, and Nurturing Entrepreneurship
