The TEQIP-III five-day Professional Development Training (PDT)
Programme held at the Institute in March 2020 aimed at creating
the capacities towards gaining a greater appreciation for
governance, institutional and policy reforms, as well as the
management principles, precepts and practices, so that they can
fulfil the role-responsibilities envisaged of them as mentors,
facilitators, and champions of change, with competence and
confidence. The training facilitated networking and knowledge-
sharing among the participants and the resource persons. It provided
insights into effective academic practices and also provided
exposure to the emerging developments in the academic and
professional contexts. The end goal was to make the participants
enabled and empowered to transfer the benefits to their key
stakeholders – the students, parents, institutions, prospective
employers, community, and to the nation at large.
