Fintech & Risk Management in Banking & Financial Services Batch 3 Valedictory Ceremony

The valedictory ceremony marked the successful completion of Batch 3 of the Fintech & Risk Management in Banking & Financial Services programme at the Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam.
Spanning six months, the programme was led by Programme Directors Prof. Pooja Kumari and Prof. Amit Shankar. The curriculum was built around four key pillars: Introduction to FinTech Ecosystem and Risk Management, Emerging Technologies, Functional Domains, and Fintech Startups. Together, these pillars provided participants with a comprehensive understanding of the rapidly evolving financial services. Prof. Pooja Kumari highlighted the program structure and discussed the importance of emerging technologies and financial services.
The Chief Guest, Shri Venkat N. Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of the Association of Mutual Funds in India, spoke about the depth and relevance of the programme. He reflected on the growing importance of fintech, digital transformation, artificial intelligence-based risk analysis, blockchain, cybersecurity risk, regulatory governance. He also outlined the major pressures shaping finance and banking today: digitization, regulation, and compliance.
Delivering the vote of thanks, Prof. Amit Shankar expressed his gratitude to Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director of IIM Visakhapatnam, and all stakeholders for their continued support in the successful delivery of this distinctive initiative.
A key highlight of the programme was the capstone project, where participants worked in groups to address industry challenges and apply their learning to develop practical and innovative solutions.
