      International Women’s Day Celebrations at IIM Visakhapatnam

      The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) marked International Women’s Day on March

      8, 2024, at its permanent campus. Organized by the Vatsalya Team, IIMV’s social responsibility club, the
      event featured a virtual talk by Ms. Uma Rao Ganduri, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Sekhmet
      Pharmaventures. Prof. M. V. Anuradha, Dean Administration, and Ms. Anukta Mishra were also notable

      contributors.
      Ms. Ganduri emphasized gender equality, drawing from Indian wisdom and modern education, with
      discussions highlighting inclusivity symbolized by Ardhanarishwara. Dr. Deepa Mohan, Counselor and ICC
      Member, stressed daily celebration of Women’s Day, while Mr. Ramu Rayaprolu, Manager (Hospitality and
      Facilities), praised women’s roles as protectors and multitaskers.

      The celebration aimed to honor women’s achievements, promote gender equality, and foster community
      unity. Activities included songs and heartfelt expressions of gratitude. Ms. Ardra S. Joy concluded with a vote
      of thanks, highlighting IIMV’s commitment to empowering women through diverse responsibilities.
































       IIM Visakhapatnam Inaugurates the Centre for Responsible Management Education

      IIMV  marked  a  significant  milestone  with  the  inauguration  of  the  Centre  for  Responsible  Management

      Education. The ceremony was graced by Ms. Ameeta Chatterjee, Managing Trustee of Ekam Foundation
      Mumbai, along with Prof. Amit B Chakrabarti, Head of the Centre for Responsible Management Education
      and Shri Prasad Dahapute, Founder & Managing Director of Varhad Capital Pvt Ltd. Their presence was
      complemented by esteemed Prof. M Chandrasekhar, Director of IIMV.

      Speaking on the occasion, Shri Prasad Dahapute suggested that the Centre should focus on creating
      forward-looking policy recommendations to help the deprived sections of society. Ms. Ameeta Chatterjee
      further added that the Centre should spearhead the education of responsible managers so that they become
      conscious  leaders  and  are  climate-friendly  and  compassionate  at  the  same  time.  Prof.  Chandrasekhar

      assured  the  gathering  that  the  Centre  will  mainstream  environmental,  social,  and  governance  decision-
