EDITOR’S NOTE

Dear Reader,

We are pleased to share with you the thirteenth issue of IIM (V)ibes, a quarterly newsletter that covers news
of our Institute in Visakhapatnam. Compiled for all its numerous stakeholders, this newsletter chronicles and
showcases the ongoing life and activities at Sunrise IIM. The current issue of the newsletter covers news and
events between September and December 2023.

At the outset, we are delighted to share that IIM Visakhapatnam is the only IIM entrusted by the Capacity
Building Commission and the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India to conduct
the Young Scientist Induction Program for all the S&T Ministries/Depts. of the GoI.

We accomplished a lot during this quarter and experienced many promising developments that helped us
scale greater heights. These accomplishments included the successful conduct of the annual HR conclave
‘Hridaya 8.0’, the annual business conclave Vriddhi 5.0, and the launch of a customised MBA program,
jointly offered by NIT Warangal, IIITDM Kurnool, and IIM Visakhapatnam. The Institute is also a sought-after
destination for executive education programs – this quarter, a total of fourteen MDPs and FDPs provided
customised training to industry professionals, faculty members, and research scholars from a variety of
organisations.

We have also included some noteworthy updates from the IIMV Foundation for Incubation Entrepreneurial

Learning and Development (IIMV FIELD), which is the Incubation and Startup Hub of IIM Visakhapatnam. It
is one of the fastest-growing incubators in the country. Committed to nurturing and promoting startups, its
entrepreneurship development initiatives are receiving national recognition and funding from the ministries
of the GoI as well as reputed public and private sector organizations.

We would also like to update you that IIM Visakhapatnam is now Great Place to Work® certified. This
achievement has us beaming with happiness as it reinforces our core values of excellence and professionalism.
