EDITOR’S NOTE

Dear Reader,

We are pleased to share with you the twelfth issue of IIM (V)ibes, a quarterly newsletter that covers news
of our Institute in Visakhapatnam. Compiled for all its numerous stakeholders, this newsletter chronicles and
showcases the ongoing life and activities at Sunrise IIM. The current issue of the newsletter covers news and
events between May and August 2023.

At the outset, we are delighted to share that IIM Visakhapatnam secured an impressive 29th place in the
highly acclaimed NIRF Rankings 2023 (Management Category) announced by the Ministry of Education,
Govt. of India. This remarkable achievement serves as a testament to our unwavering dedication and
relentless pursuit of excellence in management education. As the top-ranked among the new generation
IIMs, we stand tall as a beacon of innovation, transformation, and limitless potential.

During this quarter, a lot was accomplished, and many promising developments helped us scale greater
heights. These accomplishments included the successful conduct of the annual International Marketing
conference ‘Vipanan2023’, the warm reception of the 9th cohort of the Master of Business Administration
(PGP) program, the induction of the 5th batch of students into the Doctoral Program (PhD), and the
enthusiastic welcome of our inaugural cohort of Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) for

Working Professionals.
Furthermore, the Executive Education Programs hosted a total of eight MDPs and FDPs and provided
customised training to industry professionals, faculty members, and research scholars from a variety of
organisations. We have also included some noteworthy updates from IIMV Foundation for Incubation

Entrepreneurial Learning and Development (IIMV FIELD), which is the Incubation and Startup Hub of IIM
Visakhapatnam. We are thrilled to announce that IIMV FIELD has secured its place among the top 25
incubators, having been selected for the prestigious 12-week ‘national incubator capacity development
program.’ This achievement has us beaming with happiness and reinforces our commitment to fostering
innovation and entrepreneurship.

collecting and bringing them to you.
