       Student Achievements

       a) Acceptance of research proposal for presentation at EurOMA Annual Conference 2022


      The research proposal of Mr. Nandan Kumar Singh, third-year Ph.D.
      scholar (Productions & Operations Management), IIM Visakhapatnam,
      has been accepted for presentation at the doctoral seminar of the
      EurOMA Annual Conference 2022. The 29th EurOMA Conference will be
      hosted in Berlin, Germany, from 1 to 6 July 2022. The meeting will provide
      Ph.D. students from the Operations Management area a forum to present

      and discuss their research and an opportunity to get feedback from
      established researchers in the field.






                                        Book publication by PGPEx
                                        Dr.Challa Krishnaveer Abhishek, participant from the Post Graduate
                                        Program for Experienced Professionals (PGPEx), published his book titled

                                        ‘Hard to Swallow Truths’. The book deals with personality development
                                        and discusses 50 life skills/soft skills designed to help build one’s
                                        character and flourish one's personal and professional images.The
                                        author presented his book to Prof. Chandrasekhar, Director IIM
                                        Visakhapatnam, and Cmde. Hemant Khatri, Chairman and Managing
                                        Director, Hindustan Shipyard Limited, during the PGPEx Alumni-Faculty

                                        meet on 26 March 2022.




      Certificate of Recognition by the US Consulate, Hyderabad.

      Mr. Avugadda Phanendra Naidu, MGNF Fellow, Guntur District, was

      recognized as a ‘Young Climate Leader’ by the US Consulate, Hyderabad,
      for completing the Young Climate Leaders Action Project (YCLAP). As a
      part of this project, he was successful in creating awareness and
      contributing to Climate Change Action. The topic of his work was ‘Marine
      Pollution and Ways to Mitigate It’. Various measures were put forward to
      mobilize the fishermen community to help tackle the menace of marine
      pollution. The local government was approached for netting the sewage

      outlets, and vendors were motivated to use biodegradable and
      eco-friendly products.
