Ten Years, One Legacy: Samaarambh 10.0 Lights Up IIM Visakhapatnam
Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam kicked off the 10th edition of its two-day annual cultural fest, Samaarambh 10.0, marking a decade since the inception of the institute.
Samaarambh, the flagship cultural festival of IIM Visakhapatnam, is an amalgamation of competitions that showcase a vibrant cultural extravaganza along with enthralling performances by renowned artists. This milestone edition, themed Millennium Dreamland, transformed the campus into a lively carnival filled with music, creativity, and energetic participation from students.
The celebrations commenced with the Bank of Baroda Achievers Awards, an initiative designed to recognize and motivate students who have excelled across diverse spheres. The awards honour outstanding performance in Best in Academics, Best in Sports, and All Round Excellence, reflecting the institute’s strong emphasis on holistic development.
The tone of the event was set by Mr. Rayaprolu Ramu, Manager (Student Affairs) at IIM Visakhapatnam, in his welcome address. Senior officials from Bank of Baroda graced the occasion, including Mr. Satish Salunkhe, Assistant General Manager and Deputy Regional Head; Mr. Sampath Kumar, Branch Manager, Vemula Valasa Branch; Mr. Teja MVK, Marketing Manager; and Mr. Siva Krishna from the Credit Card Division. They were joined by Prof. Amit Shankar, Dean Research at Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam. The dignitaries presented awards of ₹31,000 each to the achievers in the three categories.
Ms. Aryaki Pathak received the award for Best in Academics, Mr. Mahendra Patel was honoured for Best in Sports, and Mr. Eonse K. Cherian was recognized for All Round Excellence.
Samaarambh 10.0 stands as a celebration of cultural vibrancy at IIM Visakhapatnam, reinforcing the institute’s commitment to nurturing excellence in academics, sports, arts, and overall personality development.
