IIMV for Impact | Knowledge in Service of Development
At IIM Visakhapatnam, impact extends beyond the classroom into districts, institutions, enterprises, and communities.
Prof. M. Chandrasekhar, Director, IIM Visakhapatnam, and Prof. Vijaya Bhaskar Marisetty, Dean (Academics), recently called on Dr. R. Balasubramaniam, Member, NITI Aayog, and shared insights into the Institute’s growing contribution to development and institution-building in Andhra Pradesh.
A key area of engagement has been IIMV’s contribution to the Aspirational District as a Fulcrum of Growth initiative in Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) District, supporting locally anchored and evidence-based development.
Beyond this, IIMV’s impact extends across the state through strategic engagements with the Andhra Pradesh State Handloom Weavers Cooperative Society Limited (APCO), Andhra Pradesh State Financial Corporation Limited (APSFC), Andhra Pradesh Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Corporation (APMSME DC), and Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited (APHDC).
These engagements span strategic business improvement, human resource assessment and organisational structuring, impact assessment of the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) Programme, development of a Product Perfection Framework for Andhra Pradesh, and strategic assessment of business operations and future roadmaps.
Through research, consulting, capacity building, and policy engagement, IIM Visakhapatnam continues to translate knowledge into action and action into meaningful impact.
From classrooms to communities. From knowledge to impact.
