IIM Visakhapatnam Hosts Alumni Meet: Delhi Chapter 2026 V-Unite 2026
New Delhi, 22 August 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIMV) had the privilege of hosting the Alumni Meet Delhi Chapter - V-Unite 2026 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, New Delhi Dwaraka, bringing together over 110+ alumni from across programmes and batches.
The chapter meet was part of the institute’s celebrations marking 10 years of IIM Visakhapatnam and provided a warm and engaging platform for alumni to reconnect with their alma mater, meet fellow graduates, and celebrate the journey of the institute and its growing alumni community.
The evening began with alumni registration, followed by a warm welcome address by Prof. Sumod S D of IIM Visakhapatnam. He welcomed the alumni community and highlighted the importance of continued alumni-institute engagement in shaping the future of IIM Visakhapatnam.
A key highlight of the evening was an engaging fireside chat on “How Organizations Can Lead Innovation in Disruptive Environments,” featuring Mr. Aditya Punjabi, Executive Director, EY. In conversation with Prof. Gaurav Dilip Tikas, the discussion offered valuable perspectives on leading through change, fostering innovation, and enabling organizations to adapt and thrive amid an increasingly dynamic business environment. The interaction provided alumni with an opportunity to engage with contemporary ideas and reflect on the challenges and opportunities presented by disruption and rapid transformation.
Following the fireside chat, the Alumni Committee shared updates on recent activities, ongoing initiatives, and upcoming plans to strengthen alumni engagement across chapters. The session highlighted how the alumni network continues to foster connections across batches and create opportunities for professional interaction, knowledge sharing, and meaningful engagement with the institute. These efforts reflect the committee’s continued commitment to building a strong, active, and connected alumni community.
The gathering was further enriched by an address from Prof. PRS Sarma, who shared insights into the institute’s academic progress, recent developments, and evolving journey, offering alumni a glimpse into the growth and direction of IIM Visakhapatnam.
Adding a lively and interactive element to the evening, the Alumni Committee conducted an engaging Alumni Bingo activity. The activity was designed to encourage interaction among alumni to discover common experiences, exchange stories, and initiate new conversations.
The evening also marked the launch of The Time Capsule, where alumni penned their visions and aspirations for the institute in 2036, sealing away reflections that will remain untouched until the capsule is reopened a decade from now.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Hanok Dan Bunga, followed by a group photograph that captured the spirit of togetherness that defined the evening. The event concluded with a networking dinner, where alumni continued their conversations, reconnected with old acquaintances, and forged new relationships in a relaxed setting.
With the participation of 110+ alumni, the V-Unite 2026 – Delhi Chapter Meet marked another meaningful milestone in IIM Visakhapatnam’s journey. The event reaffirmed the Alumni Committee’s commitment to nurturing lifelong alumni relationships and creating platforms that bring together the institute’s diverse community. As IIM Visakhapatnam celebrates ten years of its journey, V-Unite 2026 continues to strengthen the enduring bond between the institute and its alumni.
