Dance and Dramatics Society, started by the
PGP 2018-20 students to encourage IIMV’s talents
of dance and drama, organised various events
successfully over the past 14 months, and has now
been declared a club with the unanimous approval
of the students. Named ‘Spotlight’, a new club for
the PGP students of IIMV, the club launched its
logo, depicting its purpose vibrantly.

25 December
On Christmas, we organised ‘Christmas Gifts’,
the first on-ground event of IIM Visakhapatnam
in the academic year 2020-2021 to spread love
and help the needy. The event was successful and
brought smiles to the faces of the 48 children at
the Aradhana Children Home, Visakhapatnam.
With the generous contribution of the students
of IIMV, we raised INR 16,052. Each child received
a pair of sandals. Sports equipment such as home-
cricket bats, carrom boards and chess boards were
donated. Students of IIMV presented gifts to the
children on behalf of the IIMV family.

20 December
The Sports Club invited Siva Harsha K S, Ministry
of External Affairs & Ex–Assistant Sports officer
(Waltair Sports) for a webinar on Digital Sports
Governance and Administration. The latter’s
comprehensive knowledge in decision making
and team management in sports organisations
was illuminating. He spoke about some life lessons
for the students’ benefit, conveying how they can
achieve their goals through smart work.
