IIMV Conducts Five-Day MDP on Data-Driven Decision Leadership for Indian Navy
IIM Visakhapatnam conducted a five-day Management Development Programme (MDP), “Data-Driven Decision Leadership,” for Administrative Officers of the Indian Navy, held from 21 to 25 September 2026.
The programme brought together 19 administrative officers from Naval Headquarters, commands, and naval establishments for an intensive learning experience on using data, analytical tools, and structured decision approaches in administrative leadership.
The programme covered resource allocation and optimisation, project management, digital transformation, data analytics using Excel, data visualisation, decision making under risk and uncertainty, artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and leadership.
Through hands-on exercises and practical discussions, the programme aimed to strengthen participants’ ability to interpret data, assess alternatives, manage uncertainty, and make well-reasoned decisions in complex administrative settings. The programme was led Prof. B. Srirangacharyulu and Prof. Pradeep Kumar Tarei.
