IIM Visakhapatnam Conducts Leadership and People Management Programme for the officials of APEPDCL and other Power Utilities at the Centre of Excellence for Energy Transition

A 3-day Training Programme on “Organizational Behaviour and Managing People” for the officers of APEPDCL (The Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited) and other Power Utilities, like APGENCO and APTRANCO, commenced at the state-of-the-art Super ECBC facility, CoEET and is being delivered by Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam.

The programme focuses on strengthening leadership, communication, and people management capabilities among utility sector professionals through sessions on Emotional Intelligence for Utility Leaders, Effective Communication, The Art of Persuasion and Influence, Leadership Styles and Effectiveness, Personal Leadership Development, Talent Development, Cultural Intelligence for Inclusive Organisations, Team Dynamics and Collaboration, Conflict Management, and Leading Negotiations.

The inaugural session featured inspiring remarks by Shri K. V. S. Satyanarayana, General Manager, CoEET, followed by the inaugural address delivered by the Chief Guest, Smt. D. Suman Kalyani, CGM-HRD, APEPDCL.

The programme, led by Programme Directors Prof. Happy Paul and Prof. Anupama Sharma, reflects IIM Visakhapatnam’s continued commitment to executive education and capacity building for industry professionals across sectors. An AACSB member institution and accredited by the Business Graduates Association (BGA) for five years, IIM Visakhapatnam continues to strengthen its focus on impactful management education, responsible leadership, and industry-oriented learning.
