A Landmark Feat: 504 Gazetted Officers of Andhra Pradesh Trained by IIM Visakhapatnam

IIM Visakhapatnam is thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of the Leadership and Management Development Program (LMDP) for Gazetted Officers of the Panchayat Raj & Rural Development Department, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) 2025–26 Capacity Building framework, the program trained 504 officers across 9 residential batches, surpassing the target of 500. The initiative equipped officers with critical competencies in leadership, strategic management, digital and AI tools, and governance, enabling them to drive meaningful rural transformation.
The program was led by Prof Vijay Bhaskar Marisetty and Prof. Kalyan K, whose academic leadership ensured outstanding delivery and participant satisfaction, reflected in an average feedback score of 4.76/5. We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated IIMV faculty and staff for lending their expertise and tireless efforts in delivering this high-impact program with excellence.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for their visionary support in this path-breaking initiative and for their seamless coordination that ensured the program's smooth and timely execution. Our partnership with the Andhra Pradesh State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (APSIRD&PR) has been exemplary in facilitating this transformative capacity-building initiative. This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to strengthening grassroots democracy and Panchayat Raj administration.
This program will significantly benefit the region by empowering 504 Gazetted Officers with modern governance competencies, directly strengthening rural development and Panchayat Raj administration across Andhra Pradesh, ultimately impacting millions of citizens through improved public service delivery.
