Artquake Women Start Up Cell

The fine and performing arts club of IIMV Visakhapatnam organised various events to foster talent at IIMV such as
Cultural Nights, Vkend Nirvana & Cerebro Games. Owing to the Covid scenario, the club organized online events like
Quarantined Artists of IIMV & Musical Saga, where more than 50 students of IIMV participated showing their skills in
various art forms.

The Sunrise Fund

The SUNRISE Fund was established by the Finance & Economics Club of IIM Visakhapatnam, to give students a real-
life experience of managing money, taking academic theory from the lecture theatre and putting it to work in the
financial markets and devolping equity research and modelling skills. The aim of the fund would be to continuously
beat the market returns over a 1-year period. The Finance club would be continuously posting those funds results
and research reports over social media handles to show the skills of students.

Celebrating Womanhood

To address the gender diversity issue in the corporates, Manthan (The HR Club) featured some of the well-known HR
Leaders for a Women’s Day Special called “Celebrating Womanhood” a guest write-up series. They have also been
bridging academia and industry with their ‘Know the Term’ series which happens to be insightful. Besides these, they
conducted a lot of guest lectures, case study competitions and a skit competition named ‘Thespian: Impersonating
workplace on the theme: Modern Slavery’. They also float an article writing competition ‘HRya’ on D2C. The winner
entries get published in the monthly newsletter.
