Placement Process

Recruitment at IIM Visakhapatnam is a continuous and structured process, meticulously
coordinated by the Office of Career Development Services (CDS) in collaboration with the
Student Placement Committee. The Institute is committed to providing top-tier infrastructure
and comprehensive support to ensure the seamless execution of the placement process,
which is open to all eligible students. This process reflects our commitment to connecting
organizations with the finest talent in the country.

Pre-Placement Talks (PPTs)
Pre-Placement Talks serve as a distinguished forum where organizations and
students engage in meaningful dialogue. These sessions, typically lasting 45
minutes, offer company representatives the opportunity to showcase their
organization and discuss career prospects in detail. The interactive Q&A session
that follows allows students to gain deeper insights into the organization, its
values, and its strategic vision. This engagement helps students make informed
decisions regarding their career alignment with the organization’s goals.

Student Applications

Leveraging the knowledge gained from the PPTs and aligned with their
individual career aspirations, students submit tailored applications.
Companies receive applications through specific channels, either on
company-provided platforms or as per the organization’s preferred format.
Each application is given due consideration, and companies are afforded
ample time to carefully evaluate and shortlist candidates who best meet
their criteria.

Shortlists

Companies are requested to provide their shortlisted candidates to the
CDS Office at least one week prior to the commencement of final placement
interviews. This streamlined approach ensures that, during their campus visits,
companies can conduct interviews efficiently with the most suitable candidates.
Upon conclusion of the interviews, companies extend job offers to the
students who demonstrate exceptional capabilities, thus ensuring access to IIM
Visakhapatnam’s best-in-class talent.

Interviews and Offer Letters
Organizations present employment offers to candidates who successfully
emerge from the interview process. These offers are accepted in alignment
with the Institute’s Placement Policy, ensuring a smooth transition from
interviews to employment. Companies are requested to formalize their
offers through the submission of official offer letters to the CDS Office
within two weeks of the interview date.
