SAMAARAMBH

Samaarambh, the annual cultural fest of IIM
Visakhapatnam, celebrated its 9th edition,
“Samaarambh8.0” on March 1st and 2nd, 2024.
The two day event, held at the permanent
campus, featured a dynamic mix of online and
offline competitions, drawing participants from
across colleges. Highlights included solo and
group performances in singing, dancing, acting,
fashion shows, and more.
Entertainment reached its peak with stand-up
performances by comedians Raunaq Rajani
and Naveen Richard, followed by musical acts
from The Lost Fireflies, Nikhil D’Souza, Vaani
Bhasin, and DJs Tacer and Suit Up. Generous
sponsorships from CMR, Ixigo, Medimix,
Fluentgrid, Bluedart, and others, alongside
efforts from students and faculty, ensured the
event’s success, leaving a lasting impact on
attendees.

Sangram

Sangram 2023, the premier inter-
IIM sports competition, ignited a
competitive spirit at IIM Kozhikode
from November 17th to 19th. With over
800 athletes from IIM Visakhapatnam,
Bengaluru, Kozhikode, and Trichy, the
event featured 17 sports disciplines
and 20+ individual events, embodying
the motto "Light the fire within."
IIM Visakhapatnam's contingent
excelled, securing two gold medals
(Women's Pool and Carrom Mixed
Doubles) and two silver medals (Men's
Pool and Throwball). Sangram'23
fostered camaraderie, sportsmanship,
and respect, transcending
institutional rivalries and uniting
participants in a shared passion for
athletics and academic excellence.
The event highlighted the integral
role of sports in building a strong,
cohesive IIM community.
