IMPRESSIONS

                                                           Poetry

Take a moment to know your heart

Take a moment to know your heart,
Why wander lost, why drift apart?
Shape your spirit, strong and true,
And see what lies ahead for you.

You’re no kite in a fleeting sky,
No hand holds your wings up high.
Let your soul unfurl, take flight,
And soar into the endless light.

You may not feel the winds today,
But leap and let them show the way.

Take a moment, know your name,
And feel the spark within your flame.

You’re a mark carved deep in stone,
                     A life inspired, not alone.
Listen close, your voice will rise,
It whispers truth, it never lies.

Why do you fear? Why hide your face?
The hollow masks, they hold no grace.
Tear them down, and let them fall,
And see the world beyond it all.

You’re the storm that silence fears,
The strength that wipes away the tears.
Awake the fire that rests inside,
And let your heart and soul collide.

The world awaits beneath your feet,
Through your deeds, make it complete.

Take a moment, know your worth,
And rise above the earth, rebirth.
Take a moment, know your heart,
For that is where true journeys start.
