Bishakha Majumdar is a Fellow (PhD) in Organisational Behaviour/Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Management Indore. She has worked as a faculty of Psychology at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Calcutta, UGC Project Fellow for the DRS programme on Student Mental Health and Health Seeking Behaviour, and a Master Trainer for HIV/AIDS counsellors under the World Bank GFATM (Global Fund for AIDS, Tuberculosis, & Malaria) Programme. Prior to joining IIM Visakhapatnam, she has been an Assistant Professor at the FORE School of Management, New Delhi, for 3.5 years.

As a faculty of Management, Bishakha Majumdar has taught core and elective courses in Organisational Behaviour, HR Analytics, Strategic Human Resource Management, Cross-Cultural Communication and International Human Resource Management, and Interpersonal Relations. In Psychology, she has taught courses in General and Social Psychology, Industrial Psychology, Research Methodology, and Community Psychology. Her teaching interests lie in micro and macro-OB courses, Human Resource Management, HR Analytics, and Employee Relations.

Bishakha is engaged in qualitative and quantitative research in organisational behaviour, psychology, and gender and social issues in management. Her PhD is on the topic ‘Dual Influence of Career Expectancy Beliefs on Intention to Quit: Explaining through Marketability’. Her interest also lies in writing cases illustrating management issues for classroom teaching. She is presently the Associate Editor for the journal South Asian Survey, by Sage Publishing.

Bishakha Majumdar has presented her research in several reputed conferences such as the Academy of Management (AOM) Annual Conference 2019 and 2017, Eastern Academy of Management Conference (EAM) 2015, British Academy of Management Conference (BAM) 2014, PAN IIM World Management Conference 2015, COSMAR 2014, and the Indian Science Congress 2012. In addition, her papers has been accepted for presentation in conferences such as British Academy of Management 2018, European Group of Organizational Studies (EGOS) 2017, Australian and New Zealand Academy of Management (ANZAM) 2015, European Academy of Management (EURAM) 2015, APROS-EGOS 2015, and International Human Resource Management (IHRM) 2015.
Bishakha Majumdar conducts corporate and academic training programmes extensively, as Programme Director and/or Resource Person, in areas related to self-management and people management in organisations, analytics, and other aspects of human resource management.
She is also actively engaged in consultancy projects in people management in workplaces, human resource development, and public policy.
