Dr. Rathin Roy, Director of the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy, New Delhi shared his thoughts on ‘Macro-fiscal policy in India’ at IIM Visakhapatnam on 22nd August, 2016.
In his address, he touched upon fiscal deficit in India, contribution of the Central and State governments towards improving it, and the dilemma regarding the amount spent on education and health sectors in India. He also responded to queries from students and praised the students for reflecting on the problems facing the economy.
