Prof. Nimruji Prasad J is an Associate Professor in the Organization Behaviour- Human Resources Management Area and Dean (Administration and Student Affairs) at IIM Visakhapatnam. She had served at IIM Calcutta for nine years before moving to IIMV. She did her MBA from Institute of Rural Management Anand, and obtained her Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur. 

She has served as the Division Chair of the Critical Management Studies Division of the Academy of Management. She is first resident South Asian to have been elected to a leadership position at the Academy in its six decade history. Her research interests include organisation design, corporate social responsibility, qualitative research methods, Theories of Power, critical and postcolonial management studies, nonprofit and social sector. She is the author of Indian Business: Notions and Practices of Responsibility (Routledge, 2017) and editor of Governance, Resistance and the Post-colonial State: Management and State Building (Routledge, 2017), Workers and Margins: Understanding Erasures and Possibilities (Palgrave, forthcoming)

She has published in several national and international journals and presented in various prestigious conferences. She has several international research excellence awards to her credit.  She also serves on the editorial boards of various journals. 

She teaches courses in micro and macro organizational behaivour, organisation design, corporate social responsibility, research methods and power.
